NLP Practitioners and coaches are growing as a group and now one, like Starbucks, can be found in every town over the UK! Yet what differs between an NLP certified practitioner and a coaching certification?

And how do you know the standard of NLP Practitioners or coaches that you will receive as a client? This article should help you decide.

There are various differing curriculum from the many trainers and institutions on show presently. But what standards do they have to adhere to? And who manages those standards?

NLP World is an accredited NLP Training company through  ANLP (association of NLP) and AIP (association of Integrative psychology).  We have to adhere to certain standards and so do our practitioners to maintain that status.

Here’s a little bit about ANLP: This is their words.

“You may be wondering if and how the Association for NLP (ANLP) is different to the many other NLP Organisations which seem to be popping up left, right and centre!

We believe that what really makes us stand out from the crowd is our total independence. So what?

This means that ANLP is the only NLP Members Organisation with an established public reputation and which does not offer its own NLP Training, Coaching or Workshops. Our independence enables us to be entirely impartial; recognising and embracing all schools of NLP without bias or preference.

Anything Else?

As you may have discovered from finding us through Google, we have organically generated Top 10 Google Rankings.

What does “organically generated” mean? It simply means that we do not need to pay for our Google ranking. Consistent high volume of visits to the website ensures our place in the Top Ten and we are the ONLY Members Organisation to feature in the Top Ten when NLP is the search term.

This means that when people look for NLP Info, from the millions of sites that are generated from any one search, more often than not, they will come to our website…and if they are on our website, they may just be looking for someone like you to help them.

And Finally….

We are also really happy to promote the fact that we are a Community Interest Company. This means that we are officially recognised and registered as Social Enterprise, which exists purely for the benefit of the NLP and Coaching Community.”

Now the AIP (NLP, Time Empowerment and Hypnosis )

What is the Association for Integrative Psychology?

The purpose of the Association for Integrative Psychology (AIP), Inc. is to promote awareness and acceptance of complementary, alternative, and integrative approaches to human behavior as viable ways to facilitate change. It was founded in 2005 by Matthew B. James, MA, PhD.

AIP’s Organizational Objectives

So what’s the difference between NLP certification and coaching certification?

One will be the skill sets that each has to offer: An NLP Practitioner, if they have been trained to the standards of ANLP and AIP will be able to deal with phobias, chronic fatigue syndrome, hayfever; able to reframe and even remove deep seated memories, eating disorders, work effectively with dyslexia and many other performance related issues.

Coaches will not have had that much training in those types of skill sets, yet will be able to oversee and assist people through bad patches if the client themselves have the skills to overcome adversity.

There are various NLP coaching sites that offer NLP Practitioners on their books. One of those is thenlplifecoachdirectory.

The nlplifecoachdirectory has NLP training companies on their books as well as life coaches and NLP Practitioners. With companies like this, you have to make your own judgement on the quality of the companies, so market forces will determine the longevity. I am currently working alongside thenlplifecoachdirectory to maintain standards and make it a valuable asset to the life coach and NLP industry.

Personally I like ANLP and AIP because they are totally independent of us. So we have to prove we are adhering to certain standards to make sure we get our certificate of practise every year.

Like thenlplifecoachdirectory you can find NLP Practitioners at ANLP and also look at their accreditation standards.
